Conference Hotel

The conference will be held in the Multi-purpose Room A of the Trabant University Center of University of Delaware (map). A block of rooms have been reserved at Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware (400 David Hollowell Drive Newark, Delaware 19716 USA, phone: +1-302-737-0900, fax: +1-302-737-0990, website), located at about ten minutes walking distance from Trabant Center.

Reservations at Courtyard Newark must be done by calling the hotel directly at +1-800-321-2211 or +1-302-737-0900. A special rate of $147 for single occupancy or double occupancy is available until September 7 by mentioning the event name "LCPC." Note that this rate is available only when registering by telephone. After September 7, the negotiated rate cannot be guaranteed.

Embassy Suites Newark (654 South College Avenue, Newark, DE 19713, phone: +1-302-368-8000), within 10 minutes driving distance from Trabant Center. You may also find hotels that are close to the workshop venue by searching around "newark, DE" or "wilmington, DE" on your hotel booking website.

The Courtyard Newark and the Embassy Suites Newark are both sold out on Oct 9th. Another option is the Comfort Inn & Suites in North East, MD (410-287-7100) which is about 12 miles away from the University. A block of rooms have been reserved in the Comfort Inn & Suites.

Transportation

The most convenient airport is the Philadelphia airport (code: PHL). The driving distance from PHL to the University of Delaware is 40 minutes. The Baltimore airport (code: BWI) is another choice. The driving distance from BWI to the University of Delaware is 75 minutes.

Shuttle transportation from the Philadelphia airport and the Baltimore airport can be obtained through Delaware Express (phone: +1-800-648-5466, online reservation here).

Train is another option. Newark train station (NRK) has train services to New York and Washington DC, and is only 20 minute walking to the conference site. The address of Newark train station is:

Parking

The University of Delaware provides four pay-to-park garages. The parking map can be found here. The parking spaces colored in green in the map are the four pay-to-park garages. The garage closest to the workshop venue is the garage 17C. The garages 14C and 41 are about 5 minute's walk away. The walking distance from 4C to the Trabant University Center is about 15 minutes.
